Firebird and Other Ballets

Ballet Philippines revives the timeless tale of love and adventure set to Igor Stravinsky’s enchanting and groundbreaking musical score, Choreographer George Birkadze brings a fresh approach to the musical Firebird reimagining the Russian folk tale into a Philippine setting. Featured in this production are "Nenelehdej" by Spanish choreographer David Campos, Dwight Rodrigazo's "Moving Two", and Carlo Pacis' award-winning "Shifting Wait".

Also featured in this ballet are the beautiful costumes designed and created by Mark Lewis Higgins together with a select group of students from the Slim's Fashion and Arts School. Not only do we take pride in working "behind the scenes" but also in working alongside local tallent.

"Dear Elizabeth,

I just want thank you so much for being a friend and showing such generous support in your sponsorship for the cleaning of my “Firebird” costumes. There was so much hard work and dedication in the making of these costumes, and just knowing you and how much care and dedication you put into your work made me feel that everything was in the safest hands possible and I never had reason to worry. Here’s to working together more in the future!

All my best,
